Biosens institute

BioSense Institute is a leading research center in Serbia focused on the application of advanced technologies in agriculture and environmental protection. As part of the University of Novi Sad, it was established in 2015 and is dedicated to developing digital solutions that help agriculture achieve higher yields with lower investments, using innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and microelectronics. BioSense Institute is also recognized internationally through numerous projects, including those funded by the European Union. The Institute plays a key role in the digitalization of agriculture in Serbia, linking research, entrepreneurship, and science to address challenges in agriculture and food safety. Its projects and initiatives contribute to sustainable agriculture, economic development, and improved quality of life in the region.

The Institute also engages in the reconstruction of ancient biosystems, analyzing organic remains such as human and animal bones, plant residues, and biomolecules, using techniques from physical anthropology, archaeozoology, dental histology, and paleodemography. This approach combines modern science and archaeology, allowing for deeper insights into the past.
