NGO Neozoik

Neozoik Foundation is a non-governmental organization based in Pančevo, focused on preserving cultural heritage and promoting archaeology. Their mission is to raise awareness about the importance of cultural heritage protection in order to preserve rich history of the region for future generations. The Neozoik team consists of young archaeology and architecture professionals from the University of Belgrade, dedicated to promoting cultural heritage. They have developed their skills through years of work at Petnica Science Center, where they progressed from participants to program organizers. They have organized numerous seminars and workshops, including archaeological material analysis and expert lectures, while using social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) to make heritage accessible to a wider audience. Their projects, such as the first Archaeology Students’ School for the region, as well as various workshops, are designed to make heritage understandable to all, enabling participants to become part of the research process and learn how to preserve the heritage of their region. Through all these activities, the Neozoik Foundation not only preserves cultural heritage but also lays the foundation for raising awareness about the importance of archaeology and ecology among different age groups and communities.
